NIAS in REX

NIAS Linc: The library collection for Nordic Institute of Asian Studies (NIAS) is now searchable in REX.

This means that you now have the opportunity to carry out a wider search for relevant literature in both CULIS and the Royal Library’s collections, which includes the department libraries as well as NIAS’s materials on Asia.

You will also have the opportunity to narrow your search by choosing “NIAS” in the “all collections/library” fan.

Furthermore, as part of the CULIS collaboration books from NIAS can be ordered and picked up at the different faculty libraries and the Black Diamond.

In other words: students avoid having to walk all over town to pick up their ordered materials and scientists can still have materials delivered. However, if you plan wish to borrow from materials from the department libraries (where this is possible), you still have to show up.

The collaboration with NIAS Linc provides an extra service to you:
Each Friday between 14 and 16you can find a NIAS Linc Information Specialist within the field of Asian studies at the Faculty Library of Social Sciences. Furthermore, they will answer any questions regarding Asian studies that can be asked through the “Ask the Library” service.
The long-standing collaboration with Centre for Orientalia will also/still continue.

The NIAS Linc library is situated at Leifsgade 33 at Islands Brygge where you are more than welcome to drop by.
