FAQ

How do I find remote access?

Choose E-resources from "Materials" drop-down in the top menu.  Or choose from the "Materials" box on the front page.
You can log on the page for the material type you choose.  You can log on in REX, if you search on the individual bases, journals or e-books.

I can't log on!

As a student or staff member at the University of Copenhagen, you must be registered as a user in REX.
Hospital staff must use CPR-number (10 digits without hyphens) and the old DNLB-password (4 digits). If this doesn't work, send an email with a description of the problem to fjernadgang@kb.dk.
Check if you are entitled to remote access.

I get a message that says I am already registered as a user in REX, but my access doesn't work

You probably have an old library card which does not have a valid pin code (four digits). Send an email to udlaan@kb.dk with your CPR-number or call 33 47 51 83.

I do not get access to full text articles

Check whether or not you are entitled to remote access. If the title is marked with red, you do not have access.
Check whether remote access covers the year in question, this is done by clicking on the "i" by the journal title, and look under "Year".  If you still have problems, send a message to e-ressourcer@kb.dk with a description of the problem.

What does red, green and "?" by a title mean?

Green means that you have access and red means that you do not have access.
" ?"  usually means free access for all.  There are some exceptions. Try and see.

I am a student from the old KVL or DFU. Can I get remote access?

Not at the moment (12.2.2007). Extensions of the contracts with the publishers are under negotiation.

I am a student from another university, not the University of Copenhagen. Can I get remote access?

No.  We refer you to your own university library.

Can I use my remote access while I am abroad?

Yes. You can log on from all over the world.

I am on leave from my studies at the University of Copenhagen. Can I get remote access?

No.

Where do I find e-books?

E-books can be searched for in REX.
