You can find millions of books, journals and links to electronic ressources in our online library catalogue. You can borrow as many items as you like for free.
Subject Guides
Our subject guides provide an overview of the specific databases and journals which are relevant for your study. They are located on the faculty libraries' homepages.
Remote Access
Students and employees at the University of Copenhagen have remote access to online resources (databases, journals and e-books). You can use these ressources from at home or anywhere you like, you just need to log in.
If you can't find what you need
Interlibrary Loans
If we don't have an item, we can order it for you from another library in Denmark or from abroad. This is a free service for all students and employees at the University of Copenhagen.
Suggest a title
You are most welcome to suggest that we purchase a specific book or journal that we don't have in our collections.
At the library
Study areas and lockers
There are numerous study areas for both individuals and groups at our libraries, which you are welcome to use. Lockers are available for both long and short term use.
Wireless internet, PCs, and printing
There is free wireless internet access at our libraries as well as a number of PCs. You can print at the library for reasonable prices. Ask the staff for details.
Food and drinks
There are vending machines at most of our libraries, as well as areas to eat food and beverages you have brought with you. There are also two affordable cafeterias at two of our libraries as well as cafeterias at most of the faculty buildings.

Courses, Introductions and Guided Tours
We offer a variety of paid courses, free introductions, and guided tours in English. There are also links to a number of electronic tutorials
Information Literacy Training
The faculty of Life Sciences provides a web-based tutorial that can help you learn to search better, evaluate information, cite correctly, etc.
Receive a visit from the library
New employees and Ph.D students at the University of Copenhagen can receive a visit by a member of the library staff where an introduction to library services is provided.
